New Year, New Blog

Welcome to the Willingham's Family blog! Thats us...Me (Jen), our precious daughter(Lucie), and my wonderful hubby(Mike).

With the entrance into a new year i decided to finally publish our blog for our family and friends. And what better way to begin blogging than with a survey summing up our last year! So here it goes...

1. Did you keep your resolution for 2012? And will you make a new one for 2013?

No. I didn't keep my resolution for 2012. Its so cliché, but my resolution was to lose all my "baby weight" and i didn't. If anything i think i picked up a few more pounds:( I attempted a diet with my mom and a few ladies from work called "The Game On Diet" but didn't stick to it for more than a month and as soon as it was over i gained back the 5 pounds i lost. This year i have modified my goal a bit. I want to get back to my pre baby weight. lol ok ok so i didn't change it at all but this year i have done much more to set myself up for success rather than failure. Mission weigh 125 or less sometime before the new years ball drops to welcome in year 2014.

2. Where did you travel this past year and where do you plan to travel in 2013?

We were blessed with quite a year of trips. In march we took a family vacation to Tampa Florida to visit and spend some quality time with my Aunt and Uncle. Lucie took her first place ride and did fantastic! It was a great break from the winter weather and we loved every minute basking in the hot florida sun and enjoying family time. We also took a trip up to Deep Creek where we swam, went tubing, and rode the boat. My parents and sister, Kristen came with us and e had a great time. Lucie already loves the lake! Our last vacation was our big family vacation with my family to my parents condo in Myrtle Beach. I look forward to this trip every year and it never disappoints! It brings me such joy seeing Lucie have each of these new experiences and start loving the beach!I cant wait to go this year! In 2013 were hoping to take a trip to the beach but don't have anything planned at the moment.

6. How did you spend Christmas?

You mean my favorite holiday!??? We spent Christmas eve together at home and read the story of Jesus' birth and "The Night Before Christmas" to Lucie before bed. We left out cookies and milk for santa and went to bed. We spent Christmas morning at home opening gifts and then playing with them all! In the early afternoon we went to my parents house and exchanged gifts and ate a delish dinner. Then in the evening we went to Mies brother and sister in laws for dessert and family time! It was a fantastic day and went by oh os quickly!

12. What do you wish you did more of?

I wish we spent a little more time with our grandparents. We see them alot but this year i want to see them more! I also wish i did more random acts of kindness. Little things for people i didn't know and who will never know it was me who did this act of kindness. Thats a goal for 2013.

13. What song lyric sums up your year?

Martina McBride Blessed
"I have been blessed
And I feel like I've found my way
I thank God for all I've been given
At the end of every day
I have been blessed
With so much more than I deserve
To be here with the ones that love me
To love them so much it hurts
I have been blessed"

Thank You Lord for such a blessed 2013. I pray for even bigger and better things in the year to come!
